Booked Inside the Lease Gap
Put the move-out and move-in dates on your request. The repaint is scheduled to fit between them, and if it cannot, you learn that on the first call instead of the night before the new tenant arrives.

Of Shallotte's occupied homes, 36.3 percent are rented, according to the Census Bureau's 2020-2024 American Community Survey. The town is also a year-round place: about nine in ten housing units are occupied, and few are held for seasonal use. A Shallotte rental, in other words, is usually a full-time lease, and the time to repaint it is the stretch after one tenant leaves and before the next arrives.
A full-time lease also means years of daily living on the walls, and that wear is what a turnover repaint has to cover. Give us the move-out and move-in dates, and the repaint is booked to land between them; if the rooms cannot be finished in that span, you hear so on the first call.
If you own the unit but live somewhere else, the work does not need you on site. Your property manager, a lockbox or a key sent ahead can let the painter in, and photos of each finished room come to you for sign-off.
Some turnovers overlap with a tenant still in residence. Then the room order and daily hours are agreed with you, and the occupied rooms stay usable each night. Owners living in their own Shallotte homes book the same way, minus the lease dates. The drive from Judges Road to Shallotte Town Hall covers about 40 road miles.
Paint and wallpaper come from one company, so a unit that needs both is one booking and one set of keys. The painter at your door is our employee, insured through our $2M general liability and workers' comp. Each step is described on our interior painting page.
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors in the rooms on your list
Holes from hooks, anchors and wall-mounted TVs filled and sanded
Scuffs and marks spot-primed so they do not show through the new color
Caulk renewed where trim has pulled away from the wall
Floors and fixtures covered while work is under way
A final walkthrough, in person or by photo, then cleanup

The calendar comes first. Tell us move-out, move-in and any showing dates when you request the estimate, and the work is sequenced to fit inside them. With no furniture to shift, prep in an empty unit can run in several rooms at once. Keys or a lockbox code come from you or your manager, and they go back the day the job closes. Every finished room is photographed for the owner. Wear left by a long tenancy, such as anchor holes or a scrubbed-through patch of flat paint, is noted before work starts, so nothing surprises you at the walkthrough. If a tenant is still living there, fewer rooms are painted per day and each one is left usable overnight.

Living out of town or tied up at work? A property manager or lockbox lets the painter in, and each finished room is photographed so you can approve it from wherever you are.

A landlord with an empty unit wants a quick answer. We answer the phone, and we call before we arrive, so you know when to expect the painter.

Refreshing a unit that also has a papered powder room? One company handles both trades, so the turnover runs on a single schedule with one set of keys handed over.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01List the rooms and add the move-out and move-in dates. Say whether the unit will be empty or someone will still be living there.
02Colors, sheens and surfaces are confirmed, then we agree who holds the keys and how finished rooms get approved.
03We call before we arrive. Holes are filled, marks spot-primed and surfaces painted, room by room, inside the agreed window.
04Walk the unit with the painter, or review the photos remotely from home. Touch-ups are made, the space is cleaned and the keys go back.
Each home or unit is priced from its own room list, with no flat per-room rate. On a Shallotte turnover, the length of the gap between tenants can move the price a good deal, because a tight window can mean more painters on site at once. The number moves with:
Room count, room size and ceiling height
Surfaces: walls alone, or ceilings, trim and doors as well
Wear from the last tenancy: anchor holes, scuffs and stains
Whether the unit is empty or still lived in
How many colors and sheens you choose
Own several rentals? Ask whether units turned over in the same stretch are priced together. The quote is the quote we honor. Military households save 10%. If you have showings booked during the turnover, list them too, since painting around a showing can change the plan.

Our W-2 crew hangs your paper, taking down any old layer and repairing the wall before the new pattern goes up.

We source designer and trade wallpaper, including patterns that are hard to find, for a rental or your own home.

From our Wilmington base, we serve Shallotte and the surrounding Brunswick County area, plus the rest of the coastal Carolinas corridor.
Send the rooms you want painted and any dates we should plan around.
