We are the installers and office staff behind Intracoastal Wallcovering. Our wallpaper crew is on our own payroll, not subcontracted, so the people who hang your paper are the people you will see again next time.

Wallpaper runs in the family. Joe Dooley’s mother is a wallpaper installer, so when Joe started Intracoastal Wallcovering, he became a second-generation installer. For the first stretch, he was the whole company.
Working solo showed him where this trade lets customers down. On a ladder all day, he could not always pick up, and some callers waited a day or two to hear back. One installer working alone might need two or three days for a job a crew can finish in one.
So he built a crew. Today we are a team of W-2 wallpaper employees working out of an office on Judges Road in Wilmington. Joe rarely hangs paper himself anymore. He runs the business so the crew can focus on the walls.
Our work also travels by word of mouth. A couple of years ago Joe papered a local builder’s model home. Later, a family called wanting the exact wallpaper they had seen in that model home. We had hung it.

“We show up when we say we’re going to show up.”

Every wallpaper installer works for Intracoastal Wallcovering directly. No one is a day-hire or a subcontractor, so the crew that gives you a start time is the crew that hangs your paper.

OSHA 10These are the rules every job follows, whoever is on the crew that day.
We have crews in the field and an office behind them, so when you call during office hours, you reach a person.
You will not wait weeks to learn what your project costs. We send your estimate back right away.
You get a heads-up before the crew arrives, and we show up when we said we would.
Before install day, you know what we will do and when. Then we do exactly that, the way we described it.
We cut inside corners by hand on a straight edge instead of wrapping them, and we keep the pattern level around the room. We clean up before we go.
If something traces back to our installation within a year, call us. We come out, look at it and fix it.
Homeowners ask whether we are insured. General contractors ask for the paperwork. Here is what we carry.
We are members of the WIA.
The coverage level general contractors ask for on commercial jobs, and it protects your home too.
If someone on our crew gets hurt on your property, our workers’ comp policy covers it.
Our work van is insured, so if it is damaged on your property, our policy handles it.
Part of our crew holds OSHA 10 certification, which larger commercial projects look for. A 2026 data center job site required it.
If an issue traces to our installation within a year of the job, we fix it.

Most of our customers already have their paper picked out and want someone they trust to hang it. That is the core of what we do.
