From our Judges Road shop in Wilmington to Raleigh City Hall is about 127 road miles, more than three times the drive to Southport. We have no Raleigh office and no Raleigh crew. Any work here would be by arrangement, with the installers who are based in Wilmington making the trip.
Distance changes the working day first. Our average job takes a day or less, yet in Raleigh the drive comes off both ends of that day. A powder room and an accent wall might still fit one visit, while a bigger scope could mean a second day and an overnight stay.
It changes the price as well. Travel time and mileage would be quoted with the installation, and a job may need to reach a minimum size before the drive makes sense. The quote is the quote we honor.
Then there is the calendar. Every room is settled before a date is offered. Raleigh dates would be fitted around our Wilmington-area bookings instead of running on a standing schedule.
Warranty visits would need travel terms of their own, agreed before you book. Interior wallpaper sits outside the city's historic design review, which covers exterior changes.
Most customers have their paper already, picked out by them or by a designer. If yours is still unordered, send the pattern name and we work out how many rolls the repeat calls for. The installer is a W-2 employee of ours, never a subcontractor, and is covered by our $2M general liability, workers' comp and auto insurance. The step-by-step method is on our page about how our wallpaper installation works.
Old paper taken down and the wall repaired before the new paper goes up
A primer or sizing coat suited to your paper
A plumb starting line rather than a line taken off a corner
The pattern matched across every seam
Inside corners cut by hand, never wrapped
Traditional paper only; we do not hang peel-and-stick

Hanging the paper is the same in Raleigh; the terms of the trip are not. Travel time and mileage would show as their own item on the price. A Raleigh booking may need to reach a minimum size before the drive is taken on. Removal is hard to judge from 127 miles away, so tell us what covers the walls now when you ask. Work running past one day may mean the crew stays over instead of driving back. A warranty visit would carry its own travel terms, set before you book. None of these terms changes how the paper itself is hung, matched or trimmed.

If a Raleigh job has to reach a certain size before we make the drive, you hear that figure before anything else. Our average job takes a day or less; longer work may add an overnight stay.

The people who would drive up are the W-2 employees who hang paper for us around Wilmington, never a Raleigh subcontractor. We are Wallpaper Installers Association members, and we call before we arrive.

Our 1-year workmanship guarantee covers the installation. How a warranty visit to Raleigh would be scheduled gets written into the plan before you book, so distance is settled before it matters.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01Use the free-text box on the estimate form to name each room and wall, the paper and what covers the walls today. A photo helps; send it with your estimate request.
02You get the installation price with the travel cost set out beside it. Still choosing paper? We work out the roll count from its repeat before you order.
03Wilmington-area work is usually booked two to three weeks out, and a Raleigh date would be fitted around that calendar. We call before we arrive.
04Old paper comes down, the wall is repaired, and the new paper goes up with hand-cut corners. You inspect the room before the crew starts the drive back.
A Raleigh price would have two parts: the installation, and the cost of bringing a crew 127 road miles from Wilmington and back. On the installation side, the figure depends on:
Wall area and ceiling height
The paper; grasscloth and vinyl each hang their own way, and unpasted papers hang differently
Pattern repeat and the waste it adds
Old paper to strip and the wall repair that follows
How many rooms are in the visit
Travel is a cost per trip, so it is spread more thinly across several rooms than across one wall. Any overnight stay for work running past one day would be priced in the same way. The quote is the quote we honor. Paper bought through us goes on the same invoice; paper bought elsewhere stays off it. Military households save 10%.

Paint and paper from one company, so the rooms beside a papered one could be painted on the same trip.

Help finding trade papers, with the roll count worked out from the pattern repeat.

From our Wilmington base, we serve Raleigh and the surrounding Standalone Markets area, plus the rest of the coastal Carolinas corridor.
List every room and wall, and we will tell you how a Raleigh trip would work.
