Scotts Hill is an unincorporated community along US 17 north of Wilmington, and its homes use Wilmington mailing addresses in ZIP 28411. From our shop on Judges Road, the drive runs about 7 to 8 road miles, depending on which end of Scotts Hill Loop Road you live on. Of the five Pender County places on our list, it is the shortest trip. We have no office in Scotts Hill; the crew drives out from Wilmington.
A short drive and a Wilmington mailing address leave one practical question. Does a Scotts Hill job go on the same calendar, at the same price, as a job inside the city? That answer is being confirmed, and your estimate will state it. Our usual lead time of two to three weeks is the starting point.
The Pender and New Hanover county line runs right beside the loop road, so neighbors can live in different counties. Both sides are on our service list.
As for the walls themselves: a Census block group covering most of the Pender side of Scotts Hill, which also takes in the south end of Hampstead, is 97.1 percent detached houses, with a median build year of 1995, according to the Census Bureau's 2020-2024 American Community Survey. Houses of that age usually have drywall, and an earlier owner's paper or border may still be up. Stripping old paper and repairing the wall is part of every installation we do.
The paper is usually settled before we're called: most customers bring their own pick or a designer's. Still shopping? We calculate how many rolls to order from the pattern repeat. Your installer is on our W-2 payroll, insured under our $2M general liability and workers' comp, and no part of the work is handed to a subcontractor. We hang traditional papers only, no peel-and-stick. The method itself is documented in detail on our wallpaper installation page.
Any earlier paper or border stripped, then the wall repaired
Primer or sizing suited to your paper
A true vertical set with a level, never taken from the corner
Pattern matched at every seam
Inside corners cut by hand, never wrapped
A final look at the room with you, then cleanup
The hanging itself matches a Wilmington job, and so does the crew. Your mailing city reads Wilmington while your county may read Pender, and whether that split touches scheduling or price is still being confirmed. The walls are where a difference is likelier to show. Nearly half the homes in a Census block group covering most of the Pender side went up from 1980 to 1999, so an earlier owner's paper or border may still be on the wall. It comes off and the surface is repaired before primer goes on. Pender side or New Hanover, the method is the same.
Judges Road to Scotts Hill Loop Road is about 7 to 8 road miles, the shortest run of the five Pender places on our list. Your address reads Wilmington 28411, and we're confirming that the calendar and pricing match a city job too.
Part of Scotts Hill is in Pender County and part is in New Hanover. Our service area includes both, with the same W-2 crew, the same instant estimate and the same hand-cut inside corners.
We are a second-generation wallpaper company and a Wallpaper Installers Association member. Your installer is our own employee, insured under our $2M general liability, workers' comp and auto policies, and we call before we arrive.
Every installation carries a 1-year workmanship guarantee. If a seam we hung lifts within that year, whoever comes to fix it drives from a shop about 8 road miles away, in the same Wilmington mailing city as your house.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01Choose how many rooms you're papering on the instant estimate form, and the number comes back right away. If an old border is up, say so when you request the estimate.
02Already bought? Give us the brand, pattern and roll count. Still choosing? We count rolls from the pattern repeat so you order once.
03Our installers are usually booked two to three weeks out. Tell us when you request the estimate if a date matters, such as guests arriving.
04We call before we arrive. The crew strips any old paper, repairs and primes the wall, sets a plumb line and hangs.
05Check every seam and corner with the installer. The work carries our 1-year workmanship guarantee.
Every Scotts Hill price comes from the instant estimate, built on your room rather than a published rate per roll. These set the number:
How much wall gets papered, and how tall it is
The paper: grasscloth and vinyl each handle in their own way, and unpasted papers hang differently
Repeat size, because a large repeat wastes more of each roll
Earlier paper or a border to take down first
Repair to the wall once it is bare
Location is the open question on this page. Scotts Hill mail goes to Wilmington, ZIP 28411, and the shop is about 8 road miles away, so the question is whether your job is priced and scheduled as a Wilmington one, on the Pender side and the New Hanover side alike. The price you accept is the price we honor on install day. The paper is billed separately unless we source it for you. The 10% military discount comes off the installation price.
The walls beside your new paper can be repainted by the same company, on either side of the county line.
We order from trade wallpaper lines and can trace a discontinued or hard-to-find pattern.

From our Wilmington base, we serve Scotts Hill and the surrounding Pender County area, plus the rest of the coastal Carolinas corridor.
Tell us what you're papering, and your estimate comes back instantly.
