Belville sits in northeastern Brunswick County, directly across the Brunswick and Cape Fear rivers from downtown Wilmington. By road it is about 10 miles from our Judges Road shop to Belville Town Hall. That is a little shorter than the drive up US 17 to Hampstead, and less than a third of the trip to Southport. We have no office in Belville; the installer drives over from Wilmington.
So the river does not decide how a Belville job is planned. The room does. Crossing into Brunswick County adds nothing to the price, and no trip charge applies. Expect a first open date two to three weeks after you book, the same wait a Wilmington customer sees.
The walls are mostly young. The Census Bureau's 2020-2024 American Community Survey puts Belville's median build year at 2005, with 63.6 percent of homes built in 2000 or later. Most of those rooms are drywall, likely still under the builder's paint, and new paper goes on over a primer suited to it. About a quarter of the town's homes date from the 1980s and 1990s, and some of those may still hold an earlier owner's paper or border. We take that layer off and mend the wall underneath before hanging the new pattern.
Most people who call us have their paper picked out, chosen on their own or through a designer. Not ordered yet? Share the pattern name and we size the order from its repeat. A W-2 installer from our own payroll does the hanging, and we hang traditional papers only, never peel-and-stick. The whole method is laid out on our wallpaper installation page.
Earlier paper or border taken down, wall repaired
A primer or sizing coat matched to the paper
A plumb starting line set with a level rather than read off a corner
Pattern matched at each seam and held level around the room
Inside corners cut by hand and never wrapped
A walk around the finished room with you, then cleanup

Belville's homes fall into two broad groups, and the first stage of the job differs between them. In a house built since 2000, the wall is usually drywall under one or two coats of paint, so the work starts with filling, sanding and priming rather than removal. In a 1980s or 1990s house, there may be an older paper or border to strip first, and the drywall face under it sometimes needs repair once it is bare. Neither path changes what is included; it changes how long that stage runs and what the estimate shows for it. Tell us which kind of wall you have when you request the estimate.

Our wallpaper calendar usually books two to three weeks ahead, and a Belville address sits on that same list. Our average installation takes a day or less, so one date often covers the job.

Some of Belville's 1980s and 1990s homes may still carry a builder-era border or an earlier owner's paper. Removing it and repairing the wall come with every installation, never as a surprise line item.

We are a second-generation wallpaper company and members of the Wallpaper Installers Association. The installer who crosses the river is on our payroll and cuts every inside corner by hand, never wrapping it.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01Request the instant estimate and pick what we are papering. Tick whether an old border or paper is still up, since removal changes the estimate.
02Haven't bought rolls? Send the pattern's name, and we tell you how many to order from its repeat, so nothing runs short halfway along a wall.
03Pick an opening, typically two to three weeks from booking. On the morning itself, we call before we arrive, and the installer comes over from Wilmington.
04Old layers are stripped and the wall mended, then the pattern is matched seam to seam. You inspect the room with the installer. Our 1-year workmanship guarantee covers the installation.
The instant estimate gives you a figure for your own walls, not a range copied from someone else's house. For a Belville room, the price depends on:
How much wall there is, and how tall the ceiling runs
The paper itself: grasscloth and vinyl each hang their own way, and unpasted papers hang differently
The size of the pattern repeat, which sets the waste at each seam
Any old paper or border that has to come off first
Wall repair once the old layer is gone
Belville is a short drive into another county, and the job is priced as it would be in Wilmington, with no trip charge or minimum job size. A 1990s room with a border to strip can move the price a good deal; a post-2000 room that needs only primer skips that cost. The quote is the quote we honor. The paper itself is billed on its own line unless it comes through our sourcing service. Military households get 10% off.

For the rooms that get paint instead of paper, booked with the same company that hangs your wallpaper.

Still choosing a pattern? We source trade papers and can track down a discontinued one.
