Military orders set the painting calendar in Jacksonville. Camp Lejeune's moving office has described June, July and early August as peak moving season, so that is when move-out repaints, listing touch-ups and new-owner color changes stack up. If your report date or final inspection lands in that stretch, book early. We give a firm start date at booking and tell you on the first call whether your deadline is realistic.
Rentals are the other half of the work. About 61 percent of occupied homes in the city are rented, per the Census Bureau's 2024 estimates. For the owner, the repaint has to fit the gap between one lease and the next, and the owner is often stationed somewhere else. We can price a unit from photos and a room list, then work with your property manager on access.
Age matters too. More than a third of Jacksonville's housing went up before 1980. Brynn Marr, for example, has ranches from the 1970s and 1980s. Trim in houses of that era may still carry oil-based paint, and latex rolled straight over oil may not bond and can peel. We test trim in an older home before anything goes on it.
Our shop is in Wilmington, about an hour south on US 17. Jacksonville jobs are booked as full days so the crew spends the day painting, not driving between half-finished visits.
We started as a wallpaper company, and it made us fussy painters. Paper shows every ridge and patch on a wall, so our crew notices the flaws a fast paint job rolls right over. The person painting your home works for us and carries our $2M general liability and workers' comp coverage. The full process is on our interior painting page.
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors, in a furnished home or an empty one
Nail holes and dings filled, then sanded flat so they don't show as dull spots
Gaps along trim caulked, which keeps the paint line crisp
Stains and fresh patches spot-primed before the finish coat
Floors and anything left in the room covered before a can is opened
Sheen picked per surface: washable on trim and in hallways, flatter on ceilings
A final walk through each room with you, touch-ups on anything you point out, then cleanup

In a PCS move, the house is often empty between the packout and the final inspection, or before the new owner's furniture arrives. That is the easiest time to paint: nothing needs moving, so a crew can cover more rooms in a day. For a rental, one washable color and one sheen throughout lets a single labeled can handle the next tenant's scuffs and keeps the unit consistent between leases. In pre-1980 homes, trim is tested before priming, and that step is listed on your estimate.

You get a firm start date when you book, and an honest answer on the first call about whether your report or inspection date can be met. If a date has to move, we call you before you find out any other way.

Stationed elsewhere with a rental here? Send photos and a room list. We price the unit and coordinate access with your property manager, then send pictures when it's done.

Choose your status on the estimate form and the discount comes off the quote. It runs all year, so there's no promotion to wait for.

An hour on the highway doesn't shorten our 1-year workmanship guarantee. If paint we applied peels because of our prep, we drive back up and fix it.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01List the rooms, add a few photos and give us your move, closing or inspection date. That date shapes the whole schedule, so it goes on the form first.
02Your estimate comes back fast, with a firm start date. In older homes, trim testing shows as its own line.
03We call before the crew leaves Wilmington. Floors get covered, holes filled and sanded, stains spot-primed, then the walls are painted.
04We walk each room with you or your property manager, touch up anything flagged and leave the house clean for the inspector or the movers.
We don't publish a per-room price, because two bedrooms of the same size can need very different prep. You get a number for your actual rooms before anything is scheduled. These move it most:
Square footage and ceiling height
Which surfaces: walls only, or ceilings, trim and doors as well
Prep, from a few nail holes to oil-painted trim that needs a bonding primer
Whether the house is empty or furnished
How many colors and sheens
The one local factor is the drive from Wilmington, about an hour each way. Military households get 10% off. The number we quote is the number you pay, with no add-ons sprung at the walkthrough. Working to a move-out inspection? Put the date on the form, and the quote comes back with a timeline as well as a price.

Our wallpaper crew covers Onslow County too, for a powder room or a papered accent wall beside fresh paint.

Pick a paper to suit your new colors and preview it on your own walls first.

From our Wilmington base, we serve Jacksonville and the surrounding Onslow County area, plus the rest of the coastal Carolinas corridor.
Send the rooms and your date. We'll confirm a start that fits it.
