Rocky Point is an unincorporated community in Pender County, north of Castle Hayne. I-40 meets it at Exit 408, and NC 210, NC 133 and US 117 all run through it. Our shop on Judges Road is about 16 road miles away.
Being inland changes the calendar more than the price. The Census Bureau's 2020-2024 American Community Survey counts about 416 housing units in the Rocky Point census-designated place, with an estimated 359 occupied. Its estimate shows no homes held for seasonal use, though a sample this small carries wide margins. Topsail Beach, by contrast, has most of its homes in that seasonal category. Here there is no summer rental stretch to work around and no quiet season to wait for, so a paint job can go on our calendar in whatever month suits you. Whether the 16-mile trip changes your price is a separate question, answered on the estimate.
The homes themselves split two ways. Close to half are mobile or manufactured homes, and most of the rest are detached houses. Drywall in a site-built house takes paint in the ordinary way. Factory wall panels in a manufactured home often have a vinyl face, and latex generally needs a bonding primer beneath it to stay put.
We're a second-generation wallpaper company that also paints, so an accent wall and the rooms around it can be handled by one company. The painter in your house works under our $2M general liability and workers' comp policies. The first list below is our general painting scope, while the next block is specific to a Rocky Point address. The interior painting page covers the full method.
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors, as you choose
Furniture shifted or covered and floors protected
Nail holes and cracks filled and sanded
Patches and stains spot-primed
Caulk where trim meets the wall
A sheen chosen for each surface
A final walkthrough, then cleanup

Two things, and the first is the calendar. With no beach season in Rocky Point, the start date comes from our booking window and your plans rather than from when a rental empties out. Each working day still begins with the drive up I-40, and whether that drive appears in the price is settled on the estimate. The second is the wall. In a manufactured home, the factory panels are cleaned and coated with a bonding primer before color, and the battens over each seam are painted to match the wall or picked out in a trim color you choose. On drywall in a site-built house, prep runs the same as on any of our Wilmington jobs, with no extra step for the wall itself.

Rocky Point has no summer rental rush and no off-season lull. Your start date is picked from our booking window and your own plans, and the finish date is agreed before the first coat.

If the drive from Judges Road affects your price, the estimate shows it as a separate line instead of folding it into the room rates. The total you accept stays put after that.

Plain latex rolled straight onto a vinyl-faced panel tends to scratch off or peel at the seams. In a manufactured home, the panels get a bonding primer first, so the color coat has something to grip.

We call before we arrive at a Rocky Point house. Calls during business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 to 5, reach a person, because we answer our phone. Questions about colors or dates go to that same number.
From the first conversation to the finished room.
01List the rooms, choose site-built or manufactured home, and mention any deadline. A photo of each room helps us size the job in days.
02We confirm surfaces, colors and sheens, then set start and finish dates in whatever month works for you, since no beach season limits it.
03We call before we arrive. Floors get covered, holes are filled, patches or panels are primed, and then walls and trim are painted.
04Walk every room with the painter before the crew packs up. Touch-ups are done then, before anything is loaded back on the van.
We price the rooms you send instead of quoting a flat per-room rate, and you see the number before anything is booked. What changes it:
Square footage and ceiling height
Surfaces: walls alone, or ceilings, trim and doors as well
Repairs and spot-priming before color
A bonding primer on manufactured-home panels
Number of colors and sheens
Days on site, since each one includes the drive from Wilmington
In Rocky Point, the open pricing question is travel. Season shouldn't enter into it: with no beach calendar here, a January start and a July start are priced on the same factors. If a trip charge does apply, booking every room at once may lower its share of the total. Paint grade and brand move the total as well. Once you accept the quote, it holds. Military households save 10%.

Paper hung by our own W-2 installers, with each inside corner cut by hand.

We find trade papers to sit beside a freshly painted room and hunt down a specific pattern on request.

From our Wilmington base, we serve Rocky Point and the surrounding Pender County area, plus the rest of the coastal Carolinas corridor.
